CYSEC CONFERENCE CANCELED

As it will not be possible to meet the expectations of participants, panellists, exhibitors and sponsors and to maintain a certain projected conference level in the current circumstances, the Cyber Security of Critical Infrastructure (CYSEC) conference is cancelled for 2020. The conference is scheduled to take place every two years, meaning the next one is scheduled to take place during April 2022.

The current dynamic situation and constant travel constraints unfortunately do not allow further preparations for this long-awaited event, which in itself was completely new and different from other conferences because the panellists should have been, among others, 13 R&D Horizon 2020 projects funded by the European Commission, coordinators from DG HOME, DG Joint Research Center, ENISA, EUROCONTROL, EASA, representatives from the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (H-ISAC) from the USA, and many other distinguished speakers from various industries and scientific fields.
Networking opportunities with the teams that make up these consortia would contribute to creating new added value and we believe new partnerships, ideas, concepts and innovations. After careful assessment and since most of the participants come from abroad, as well as due to the unclear autumn situation related to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, the Organizing Committee decided to cancel the conference for this year.

Also, as mentioned in the previous newsletter, the Organisational and Programme committees have decided to continue with the preparation of the Conference Proceedings. The accommodation, registration fees and other funds paid so far will be refunded.
