Dr. Aristides Sebastião Lopes Carneiro, Lt Col Rtd Brazilian Army, is currently a professor of Cyber Governance, ICS Cyber Security, and Financial Cyber Security at UFRGS, where he will start, soon, a Post-Doctorate Program in this last area. He is a consultant, international speaker, and research leader in these areas. In the Army, as Lt Col, he was the Head of the National School of Cyber Defense, Advisor of the Doctrine Division and Joint Staff at Cyber Defense Command (Br) and at the Cyber Defense Center. He took part in several cyber operations (such as Cyber Security of Rio 2016 Olympics & Paralympics) and he was responsible for several publications in Cyber Sector in the Army and MoD. He was encharged of Bilateral Brazil-US cooperation in basic research on Cyber and for the establishment of international affairs, in the Cyber area, with US, France, and Germany, besides of being a member of the Audit Working Group responsible for the implementation of an accreditation system for cyber products in the Brazilian Government.
