Dr. Holger Nitsch is a Senior Researcher and lecturer within the BayHfoD and head of the Research and Social Science Department of the Department of Policing. He studied at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich the subjects political science, psychology and economics. He specialized on international politics and the field of terrorism, violence and war. In his thesis for his doctorate he has dealt with different forms of terrorism and definitions. His research interests include political sciences, right wing extremism, cybercrime, radicalization and all its aspects, corruption, migration, globalization, terrorism, Islamism, contemporary history and sociology. The main focus in research and lecturing is in extremism, radicalisation, and terrorism. He is also the author and co-author of many articles, most of them about terrorism and radicalisation. Dr. Holger Nitsch also has experience in participating in a number of EU projects such as PROPHETS, CREST, PREVISIONS, MINDb4ACT, TENSOR, Unity, RAMSES, and ePOOLICE.
