Sandro Bologna, graduated in physics from Rome University, has 35+ years experience at ENEA (The Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) and abroad, where he has held positions as Researcher, Head of Research Units, and Head of Research Projects at national and international levels. Recent main research activities deal with Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience, with a special emphasis to vulnerability and interdependencies modeling, simulation and analysis.
Founding Member and former President of the Italian Association of Critical Infrastructure Experts (AIIC), at the present he is independent researcher and freelance expert for the participation to National and International Research Projects in the field of Cyber Security and Resilience, Prevention and Preparedness in Emergency Management. Inside of The International Emergency Management Society (TIEMS) he has now the position of International Program Committee Chair with the task of implementing a new and worldwide accepted Emergency Managers Certification Scheme.
